Sprouting Into Summer: Our Frontier Cub Prepares for Outdoor School

Sunshine, fresh fruit and soft grass between her toes is about all this Little Cub could want as she waddles her way into summer.  Gracefully raised in a nature-rich family, our Little Cub adventured her first camping trip at the wee age of 2 weeks old. As a true trailblazer, she rocked it and continues to enjoy the peace of the mountains.

As the youngest sibling, she has spent the last year idly observing her older sister mountain bike, play soccer and climb the heights of trees at outdoor school.   After a year of close observation of her sister’s bravery and venturous family, she is gearing up to set off on her own journey this fall, joining Little Cubs Preschool. Intrigued by and joyous for dirt, fresh air and most of all, any food she can grab, our Frontier Cub is preparing for school.

You may ask yourself, “How do I prepare my child for school?” The answer is simple.  Play.  Let them get dirty, take risks, try new foods, socialize, investigate and appreciate the outdoors! Whether you are an outdoor play advocate or are interested in learning the benefits, we welcome all families.  Little Cubs is here to guide, scaffold and mentor children and their families in a respectful community based program.  We hope you and your “Little Cub” can join us in this movement!
