Frequently Asked Questions and Answers:

Q: Are you a licensed child care facility?
A: Yes, we completed Washington State licensing in July 2018.

Q:What ages are eligible for enrollment?
A: 3-6 years old. Students can enroll earlier if they are potty confident.

Q: What days/times are you open?
A: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Little Cubs is closed for Summer break the month of July.

Q: What is your application process?
A: Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted for a school tour and provided registration information if our program meets your needs.  If full, you will be invited to sign up for our waitlist.

Q: What is your teacher to student ratio?
A: 2:12.  Our maximum enrollment is 12 children with two highly qualified teachers

Q: Are your staff CPR/First Aid Certified?
A: Yes.

Q: What happens if a teacher is sick?
A: Certified substitutes are on call for staff sick days.

Q: Where do the children nap?
A: Our program is no longer doing naps. The children have the option of having quiet time in the afternoon if they request.

Q:What meals are provided?
A: Breakfast snack and afternoon snack

Q: Where do you store milk/food?
A: Our classroom includes a kitchen including a full size refrigerator.

Q: How do you handle behavior management?
A: Conflict resolution using problem solving. Acknowledging feelings, stating the problem, working through steps to resolution using children’s ideas.

Q: How much time do you spend outside?

A: We go outside every day rain or shine. We will stay outside for as long as the weather allows. Students have appropriate gear for all the seasons. During warmer months we may spend the entire day outside.
